One set.Four birthdays.

The same five blocks grow up with your child. What changes is the question they ask of them.

A year in each hand
  • A baby's hand closing around a blue wooden cylinder on blue paper while a white bead rolls away

    Age 1

    Hold it

Round things roll away. Square things stay. The first physics lesson happens on the kitchen floor.

  • Toddler hands lowering a red cube onto a wobbling tower of red cubes on red paper

    Age 2

    Stack it

Two blocks, then three, then the joy of knocking them down. Balance is learned by losing it.

  • Top-down view of small hands sorting blue circles, red cubes and yellow triangles into three piles

    Age 3

    Sort it

Colours get names. Shapes get groups. Suddenly everything in the house needs sorting, including the socks.

  • A child's hands putting a yellow roof on a red cube that sits on blue arches, a small wooden car parked underneath

    Age 4+

    Build it

Bridges, towers, a garage for one very important car. Plans get drawn before blocks get moved.

Made to bechewed on.

We build for the mouth before the mind. Everything that touches a Brightfold block has to survive a teething one-year-old and a curious dog.

  • WoodSolid beech from managed forests. No MDF, no veneer, no surprises inside.
  • PaintWater-based colour, tested against saliva. It stays on the block.
  • EdgesEvery corner rounded to 3 mm by hand, then checked by a thumb.
  • PartsNo screws, magnets or batteries. Nothing to swallow, nothing to charge.
  • BoxThe lid folds out into a gridded play mat. Please keep it.

Lesson one · balance

Stackthe three.

Drag the shapes onto the base. Only one order stands up. In our testing, two-year-olds found it faster than their parents.

  • The widest piece wants to be the floor.
  • A flat top means something can sit on you.
  • Pointy tops go last. Always.
