Casa Nopal.

The name

Named for the nopal that grows in every Oaxacan garden: humble, resilient and quietly generous. That is how we try to cook.

Chef Ximena Ortega plating at the pass

La chef

“I cook the food I grew up with. I just finally have enough tables for everyone I want to feed.”

Ximena Ortega, chef and owner
