Before you come

Asked at
the desk

Not here? Somebody picks up from six in the morning — 0161 496 0042.

  • No. Everything on the timetable is drop-in — turn up, pay for the session, play. Membership starts to pay for itself at about two visits a week, and the desk will say so when you get there rather than sell it to you at the door.

  • Fourteen days. Weekday evenings between six and eight go within a day of opening, so set a reminder if that is your slot. Track nights and open court are never booked at all — just come.

  • Neither had half the people at open court. Every session on the list has a coach on the floor, not just the beginner ones. Say where you are at the desk and you will be put on with people going at your pace.

  • Rackets, bibs and balls are at the desk, free, for padel, tennis and five-a-side. Bring trainers with a clean sole — the indoor courts are the one thing we are strict about, and the desk will turn you back for it.

  • Up to four hours before, free, by phone or online. After that the slot is charged, because by then nobody else can take it. Ring anyway if something has genuinely gone wrong.

  • Twenty spaces off Prospect Street, free while you are on site. They go on league nights — the Ancoats multi-storey is four minutes on foot and the desk will stamp your ticket.
